Is this event family friendly?
Absolutely! We have a grom race and strongly encourage kids to have fun while becoming better riders. We’ve had a lot of kids in past years and a nice group of parents who keep an eye on all of each others kids, making sure they are having fun while still being safe. Please note that the swimming areas are not lifeguarded so remain with your children at all times if they wish to swim.
Schedule?
Wednesday-Sunday. Please do not arrive Tuesday night you will not be allowed in as we will not even be setting up yet. We are setting up early Wednesday morning. Wednesday is a day to come set up and meet your friends. We may have a few fun things going on but we are mainly setting up and letting you guys come early to hang. Feel free to come anytime after 9am.
Can I ship my board to NWEF?
We are currently transitioning shipping locations and will have a new address! TBD.
Nearest Airport?
The closest airport would be the Eugene Airport.
Address – 28801 Douglas Dr, Eugene, OR 97402
This is roughly a 20min drive to Havenroot.
How do I charge my PEV?
The event space has tons of charging all over. If an outlet is marked as non-charging, please respect the signage and find a new location. If you would like to utilize a generator, please check in with a volunteer for clearance on placement. We will have some generators for use as well here and there.
What PEV’s are allowed at the event?
Onewheels and Electric unicycles will be the only pev’s that will be racing. If we ever have a large enough group of other pev’s that wants to race and we can come up with divisions that are fitting, we would love to do so. Until then we only have Onewheel and Euc racing. All other pev’s are allowed to come out to the event and ride the trails and features and have as much fun as they want. We encourage all types of pev’s.
Will there be food?
Yes, we will have hot food to order. Bring card and/or cash.
Will there be water?
There is a water fountain with fresh spring water in-between the pool and the bathrooms/showers.
What options are there for camping onsite?
We have multiple communal and private camping spots, some in the shade and some not. We are not reserving spots so come early if you want to snag a good one. You will be able to park you vehicle next to your camping spot in some situations. In other situations you will be able to pull up very close and drop all your gear then move your vehicle into a large field for parking. Just bring your wheel with you so you can ride back to your camp.
RV/Trailer Parking
Please email us or reach out to Jesse Cargil on social media if you are planning on bringing an RV or Trailer. An RV/Trailer spot costs $60 for the weekend. The RV add on can be purchased during full ticket purchase.
Dont want to camp onsite with us?
Camping isn’t for everyone and we know that. You could try local Airbnb’s in Veneta Oregon very close to the venue. If you want to stay in a motel or hotel the nearest would be in Eugene. Which is roughly a 20-30min drive depending on where you would stay. Springfield is roughly 30-40min depending on where you would stay.
Can I camp at the Venue the night before the event?
No, the Venue is privately owned land. Last year we set up on Thursday and allowed people to come out while we were doing that. This year we are setting up on Wednesday and allowing people to come out at 9am at the earliest!
Bathrooms?
We will have Porta-potties throughout the event space as well as several plumbed bathrooms. Next to showers.
Are there showers?
Yes, we have six outdoor showers that are available for use. Make sure to bring eco friendly shampoo. Next to bathrooms.
Can I transfer my ticket?
No refunds or cancellations. But we can transfer a ticket. Email northwestelectricfest@gmail.com if you need to transfer.
Will there be music?
Yes we will have music throughout the day during events and some live DJ at night
What will the weather be like for the event?
Oregon summers are beautiful! July is normally around 80 degrees and sunny but can get warmer up to 90. There is still a chance of overcast mornings but most likely sunny! Make sure to bring sun screen!
Can I bring pets?
You can bring your dog only if they are on leash at all times for the safety of the dog and riders.
Is there alcohol for sale at the event?
We will not be selling alcohol at the event but feel free to bring your own. No racer will be allowed to compete in any races if they have been drinking prior. So please drink responsibly.
Medical?
We will have a medical volunteer on site incase any wipeouts occur.
